Who we are

As used in this Privacy Policy, the terms “Rabble” and “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Jane Q, Inc and its affiliates. These terms also include our vendors, contractors, and agents, except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy.

What information do we collect from you?

If you visit our Website, we automatically collect certain information to help us operate the Website, including the type of device you use, the version of your operating system, and the unique identifier of the device.

We also collect information you provide directly to us through the Website, including when you choose to make an account. The account allows you to invest in our projects. If you make an account, we may collect the following information from you:

  • Contact information (name, email address, mailing address, phone number)
  • Billing information (debit card or checking numbers)
  • Financial information (your income)
  • Social Security Number
  • Your preferences (project wish lists, subject interests, marketing preferences)
  • Demographic information (age, education, gender, and location)

Some of the information we collect through your use of the Website or communications with us, including your name, address, or email address, may personally identify you. We will treat this information as “Personal Information.”

We may combine non-Personal Information about your use of the Website with similar information that we obtain from other users in an aggregate or anonymous manner.

How do we use your information?

We obtain and use information we collect to offer our basic services to you and to improve them. If you make an account, Rabble will use your information, including your Personal Information, to:

  • Process an investment that you make in a Rabble project;
  • Deliver communications to you;
  • Conduct internal market research on who invests in Rabble projects;
  • Detect and protect against fraud or criminal activity;
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Improve our site; and
  • Monitor and enforce Rabble’s Terms of Use.

If you invest in a Rabble project, you will remain anonymous to everyone outside of Rabble. The recipient of Rabble capital (aka the project team) will know the aggregated information of the investors, such as the number of individuals, the range of investment size, and summary demographic figures.

How do we share your information?

We do not share your information, including Personal Information, with third parties for the third party’s own direct marketing purposes.

We may share your information, including Personal Information, with our vendors, service providers, and agents to the extent reasonably necessary to provide you with the Website and services.

We may also share your information with SynapsePay, our third-party payment processor, in order to facilitate the handling and transfer of payments.  Please consult SynapsePay’s privacy policy and terms of service by clicking here.

We may also share your information, including Personal Information, with:

  • Service providers and contractors to the extent reasonably necessary;
  • A third party that acquires Rabble or a majority of our assets, if that third party obtains the rights to provide the Website or services and subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy;
  • A third party with whom we are required to share information about you where the law requires;
  • You, upon your request; and
  • Other third parties where you have consented to do so.

If we receive a request from a governmental authority to provide it with your Personal Information, we will take reasonable attempts to notify you of such request.

You control your information.

You can always choose not to provide information. If you do, you may not be able to take advantage of certain functions of our site, such as investing in a project.

When you make an account with Rabble, your personal information is under your control. If it changes, you may update your information by changing it in your account settings.

If you no longer want to retain an account, you can delete your account. If you delete your account, we will not retain your information.

You can also control how you want to hear from us, and how often. If you have an account, we will use your name and address to send occasional emails to you. You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter, project related emails, or any marketing email by following the unsubscribe instructions OR changing the email preferences in your account settings page.

We use cookies. You can reject them.

A cookie is a very small text file that websites store on a visitor’s computer for record keeping purposes. Cookies help websites remember visitors and run more efficiently. We use cookies on this site. The cookies we store on your computer are not linked to any personal information you submit while on our site.

Like many websites, we use two kinds of cookies: session ID cookies and persistent cookies. Once you close your browser, a session ID cookie expires. A persistent cookie, on the other hand, will remain on your computer’s hard drive for a longer time. At Rabble, we do everything we can to protect your information. We work hard to protect both the transmission of information and how it is stored. We follow industry standards, including implementing appropriate administrative, technical, and physical controls, to protect the Personal Information that you share with us. Because even the best standards of electronic storage and internet communications are not absolutely secure, we cannot absolutely guarantee that your information will be secure. Children

The Website is not directed towards children under 13 years of age nor do we knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, you are not permitted to submit any Personal Information to us.

The Website may include links to and from the websites of our partner networks and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, these websites have their own privacy policies and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their privacy practices. Please check the privacy policies of any other website you access via the Website before you submit any Personal Information to such other website.
